If you have torsional play or a seized rear hinge, you should replace the rear hinge. Please note, this is one of the most complex jobs you can carry out on a Brompton and requires specific tooling. Also, this is the main link that holds the frame together. Earlier this year, a team of Brompton designers and engineers set out to prove what the G Line is really made of. Their destination was Flanders - the home of cobbles, climbs and one of the most demanding races in the cycling world; the Tour of Flanders. The team folded up their bikes, boarded the Eurostar and headed to Belgium where they unfolded and hit the road. This wasn't just a weekend ride, it was a test and the ultimate challenge.
