We just had to write a post about it. Since it’s reopening, we use it at least ten times weekly to get to where we need to go. There is something quite special about the corridor; we don’t just mean the lack of cars or traffic lights.

In a densely populated city-state, with excellent transport links and busy roads, it is quite literally a breath of fresh air. If you time it right, you will be treated to a quiet and peaceful experience, with lots of greenery and birdsong for company along the way. We were even treated to a school of Otters one morning when cycling to work. Quite the rare sighting! Check out our video below.

The Green corridor runs from Kranji to Tanjong Pagar and is 24km long. Notable points along the way include Singapore Quarry, Bukit Timah Truss Bridge and Clementi Forest. Recently, at the Bukit Timah Railway section, they have opened a new cafe and museum that details its history.

The great thing about the corridor is that it passes through many different areas of Singapore, so it is well connected. If you decide to walk the length of it one day and don’t fancy walking the same distance back, you will end at Vivo City and can hop on a train or bus to get you back to where you came from.

As with any attraction in Singapore, timing is everything. Don’t go on weekends if you want to enjoy a secluded and quiet experience. Or public holidays.
